Planning for Women
Currently, women represent approximately half of the population in the United States. In an industry dominated by men, our firm recognizes that representation matters. With 50% of our partners and 2/3 of our entire team female, we are uniquely positioned to understand and help women.
Our female advisory team recognizes the challenges women face in the financial world – not only are women still paid less, on average, than men, but they are often out of the workforce while supporting family. This has a huge impact on the ability to save, invest, and create a secure future and retirement.
We firmly believe that women should be educated and in control of their money. The statistics show us that this is an imperative, not an option:
- The average age of a widow is 55, and 75% of women will be widowed by age 56
- 80% of widows living in poverty were not poor before the death of their husbands
- 40%–50% of all first marriages, and 60% of second marriages, will end in divorce
